Triggers
Alerts, clips, sounds, music, voice clips, and on-screen messages — each with layout, duration, and access rules.
A trigger is one on-stream effect. Pick a type, upload or pick media, set how long it stays on screen, and choose who can fire it.
Free plans have a slot limit per type. Upgrade from Profile when you need more.
Media must be one of your uploads or a result from the built-in GIF and sound search (Giphy, Tenor, Freesound). Links to other sites can’t be added; older external links already saved on a trigger keep working. Texts in every sequence step go through your moderation filter.
Steps
- 1Choose the type: Alert (image/GIF), Clip (video), Sound / Music / Voice, or Message (text + optional TTS).
- 2In Content, add media and optional on-screen text (viewer input templates supported).
- 3In Access, choose free chat command, Kick channel points, or a paid unlock.
- 4Place the alert in the OBS layout preview (drag to move; resize media and text separately).
Tip
Keep GIFs smaller than on-screen text so captions stay readable.
Tip
Use Test from the triggers list to fire into the live OBS overlay.
